No Horns : Maya Felixbrodt & Miriam Den Boer Salmón at Home of Art

From 16.00h this duo will entice us with their mix of Folk music, Jazz and Improvisation.

Maya Felixbrodt (IS) is a bit of a creative centipede; besides being a violist, composer and movement artist, she draws, makes collages, dances, investigates movement and music, makes performance art, sings, improvises, makes videos, writes and initiates and participates in various international musical and interdisciplinary collaborations. Maya has completed studies in composition and viola at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, The Jerusalem Academy for Music and Dance, JAMD & Rimon Academy in Jerusalem and Emovers Institute in Rotterdam.

Miriam Den Boer Salmón (NL/MX) is a violinist and improviser based in Amsterdam. Her multicultural background reflects in a love for diversity and forever changing perspectives on society and reality which show in her musical ventures. With improvisation at its core, she currently forms part of different projects, ranging from folklore to Jazz and free improvisation to experimental and cross-art projects. She has completed her studies of Jazz music at the Prince Claus Conservatory in Groningen.

From 17.00h performance accordionist Sofie de Klerk (NL)  will bring us an experimental mystical and meditative performance.

Sofie is a very diverse accordionist; from singing to theater performances, classical, opera, French chansons and world music, she has a true captivating stage presence whether she plays alone or performs with others. Sofie received her classical Bachelor's degree at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague after which she successfully concluded a Master’s degree with the New Audiences and Innovative Practises specialisation at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague.

Oleg & Harald: Amsterdam meets Sofia

Oleg & Harald at Home of Art

Oleg & Harald at Home of Art

Guitarists Oleg & Harald play music from all over the world ranging from own compositions, Gipsy Jazz, Jazz Manouche, Bossa, Gipsy, Arab, Balkan and more.

Oleg Videnov is a gracious mandolin and guitar player from Sofia, Bulgaria. Coming from a strictly classical musical education he now focuses on improvised music and has found a musical companion in Harald.

Harald Inen has been a Gipsy Jazz guitarist since 1982. In recent years, he has released the typical genre and has also been adding his own compositions as well as South American sounds.

If we are lucky, the musicians might feel like a little jamsession together...Would you like to join? Bring your own instrument (acoustic instruments only).

We hope you will join us on Saturday December 7 from 15.00h at: Korte Vijverberg 2, The Hague, see you then!
